I love watching my darling 2 year old play make believe with her dolls. She has the nurture bug bad! I can't help but think she must've learned it from her mommy, right? Anytime she sees a baby she wants to hug it, feed it, love it, sigh... What a good job I am doing.
The other day she wanted to take her Elmo doll for a walk in his umbrella stroller. It was going to be a long journey from her play room to the living room so she needed to stock up her purse. Phone? Check. Ear buds? Check. Teething Ring? Check. Apron? Check. Coffee? Check. (No, not real coffee, it's a can of apple juice that she pretends is her coffee. By pretends I mean she yells at Elmo "No, Mommy coffee!") And they were off. Wait, a snag. Elmo's legs won't bend for him to sit properly in the stroller. "Elmo SIT DOWN." I calmly explain to her that his legs do not bend and not to yell at her baby. She decides that Elmo standing will have to do and grabs her other baby upside down by one leg and they are off.
As she rounds the corner, dangling baby's head smacks into the wall. "Aww baby, you ok? I sorry." Sigh... What a good job I'm doing.
Oh all that yelling? I don't know where she gets that from.
